I have always (since I was in school) been a big supporter of laptops in schools. With the invent of tablet PC’s, this has become even more valid. 1 or 2 Computers for 25 children is not good enough. Having ‘Computer Labs’ where kids can go to ‘learn’ computers is not good enough. PC’s are now a vital part of many jobs and every day tasks; our kids need to be comfortable using the PC’s and sitting in a computer lap for 1 hour a week is not sufficient.

Channel 10 has a great video about a primary school in the US that has made it mandatory for any kids starting grade 5 to have a Tablet for use in classes. Check it out http://on10.net/Blogs/laura/1582/
